LOFAR server equipment from ASTRON – Netherlands Institute for Radio Astronomy goes to Ventspils International Radioastronomy Centre in Irbene. Watch the video below that was prepared by ASTRON.
The development of a LOFAR station will provide Latvia and especially Ventspils International Radioastronomy centre with new opportunities for scientific advancements not only in radio astronomy but also in information and communication technologies, geophysics, geodetics, environmental engineering and bioeconomics.
