On 6 October, 2020 VIRAC Leading Researcher Artūrs Vrubļevskis Remotely Participated in an Online Conference Held by The International Union of Radio Science.

On 6 October, 2020 VUAS ERI VIRAC leading researcher Artūrs Vrubļevskis remotely participated in the online conference held by the International Union of Radio Science (French Union Internationale de Radio-Scientifique - URSI) which took place in Warsaw, Poland. 

The researcher participated in URSI which was one of the parts of the "Microwave and Radar Week" or MRW2020.                                              A. Vrubļevskis gave an oral report "The Development and the Proposed Researcher of LOFAR-Latvia" about the LOFAR radiotelescope which was opened ay year ago in Irbene. He explained about its use, current news and the intended scientific research.                                                             

The co-authors of the report are VIRAC collegues M.Donerblics, D.Bezrukovs and B.Rjabovs.                                                                                          The conference was hosted by collegues in Poland LOFAR station and the event gave an opportunity to strengthen the cooperation.     


Artūrs Vrubļevskis also receives funding within the framework of ERAF postdoctoral grant No. 1.1.1.2/VIAA/I/16/079 "Structure for the Solar Magnetic Atmosphere" (USMA).
