Doc. Ph Dr. Marie Vachková, Ph. D. (*1954) studierte Deutsch und Schwedisch an der Philosophischen Fakultät der Karls-Universität in Prag. 

Sie befasst sich insbesondere mit Lexikologie, Wortbildung und Lexikographie des Deutschen, am Rande mit Stilistik und Übersetzung, sowie mit der kognitiven und Korpuslinguistik. Ihre pädagogische Tätigkeit umfasst Seminare zu diesen Bereichen sowie Übersetzungsübungen. Im Jahre 2000 hat sie die Lexikographische Sektion am Institut für germanische Studien der Philosophischen Fakultät an der Karls-Universität in Prag gegründet sowie das Projekt des Großen akademischen Wörterbuchs Deutsch-Tschechisch. Die Arbeit an der bilingualen lexikalischen Datenbank verlangt einerseits praktische lexikographische Tätigkeit, anderseits regt sie metalexikographische Forschung an. Bei den aktuellen Revisionen der Datenbankeinträge werden u. a. korpuslinguistische Analyseverfahren herangezogen, die am Institut für deutsche Sprache in Mannheim entwickelt werden.

Laimute Balode – Dr.Philol., Assoc. Prof. of the University of Helsinki / University of Latvia, leading scientific researcher at the Latvian Language Institute of the University of Latvia. Baltic linguist, onomastician.

Scientific interests: Latvian and Lithuanian toponymy and anthroponymy, Baltic hydronymy, lexical parallels in Baltic languages. Author of more than 260 publications, one of the authors of Lithuanian-Latvian Dictionary (1995), as well as Short Dictionary of the Origin of Latvian Geographical Names (No Abavas līdz Zilupei, 2015), working at present on the many-volume academic Dictionary of Latvian Place Names. For many years was the director of the Center of Lithuanistics at the University of Latvia. Responsible for Baltic studies at the University of Helsinki (Finland).

Francesca Bianchi (Degree in Translation, 1995, University of Trieste, IT; Ph.D. in Linguistics, 2012, Lancaster University, UK).

From 1994 to 2003: free-lance translator and interpreter: 1998-2004: university lecturer (Universities of Genoa and Pavia, Italy). Since 2005: tenured position at University of Salento (Italy), where she currently is Associate Professor of English language, linguistics and translation. Research interests: corpus linguistics; technology in linguistic research and teaching; audiovisual translation; interpreting; genre analysis. She has organized several international conferences and published over 50 works in the area of applied linguistics, with a special focus on translation and corpus linguistics. Member of the editorial board of journal Lingue e Linguaggi; Director of the Unisalento Summer School of Audiovisual Translation; Director of an undergraduate curriculum in applied languages and translation, and of a post-graduate two-year curriculum in translation and interpreting at the University of Salento.
